- Identification
- Composition
- Performance
- Carbon footprint
- Supply chain
- End of life
Annex XIII is the authority for the exact items in each category.

Due diligence is a separate date
Supply chain due diligence obligations apply from 18 August 2027, after postponement by Regulation (EU) 2025/1561. They do not move with the passport date of 18 February 2027.
What to do now
- Check your scopeConfirm which of your batteries are electric vehicle, light means of transport or industrial batteries above 2 kWh.
- Map the data to suppliersFor each Annex XIII category, note who holds the data: you, a cell maker, a materials supplier.
- Plan the evidenceSome data, such as the carbon footprint, needs studies or declarations that take time to produce. Start early.
- Prepare the QR code and identifiersDecide how each battery will be identified and where its passport will live.
- Track access rightsThe implementing act on who may see what is still pending. Keep your access design adjustable.
- Handle due diligence separatelyIt has its own date, 18 August 2027, and its own obligations.
How AuditSci DPP supports it
AuditSci DPP collects data and documents from your cell, material and sourcing suppliers, checks them against the passport requirements, and publishes the passport behind a QR code. AI drafts values from supplier documents and watches expiry dates. A person approves every value, and every approval is recorded.
AuditSci does not certify batteries or passports. Responsibility for conformity stays with the economic operator.
